GIVE A GIFT

February 22, 2016

The Louisiana Baptist Foundation exists to encourage and assist individuals with gifts that support the work and ministry of churches, institutions and organizations affiliated with the Louisiana and Southern Baptist Conventions.

“Give A Gift” was developed, with the cooperation of the Baptist Message, to illustrate how the LBF assists Baptists with gifts to Baptist ministries.

A submission form for Give A Gift is available in each issue of the Message.  A link to an on-line form is also available below.  Each month the Foundation will draw a name, at random, from the submissions received through the on-line form and submissions received by mail.  The person whose name is selected will have the opportunity to direct a $1000.00 gift from the Foundation to the Louisiana Baptist church, ministry or organization they choose.

The name of the ministry receiving the gift will be published in the following issue of the Message.

GIVE A GIFT FORMThe rules:

  • Completely fill out the form found in the Message (or CLICK lbfinfo.org/give_a_gift/ to fill out the online form.)
  • Mail to: GIVE A GIFT, c/o Louisiana Baptist Foundation, P.O. Box 311, Alexandria, La 71309
  • A name will be drawn at random from the month’s submissions on the last business day of that month. Any submissions after that date will be held to the following month.
  • The Gift must be designated to a church or ministry in Louisiana, cooperating with the Louisiana Baptist Convention.
  • The Gift must be directed to a single church or ministry (cannot be divided among multiple ministries).
  • The Gift must for the unrestricted use by the church or ministry.
  • The name of the church/ministry receiving the Gift will be published in the next available issue of the Louisiana Baptist
  • The Gift bears no monetary value to the person selected. This person is only directing funds from the LBF to the ministry of their choice.
  • The LBF will not share or sell participants’ contact information to other organizations.
  • If a participant provides an e-mail address, Foundation reserves the right to add that address to its weekly e-newsletter list.
  • Pastors & staff members of churches & ministries are encouraged to participate.
  • LBF Staff and Current LBF Board members not eligible.

By John Kyle, special to the Baptist Message   NASHVILLE, Tenn. (LBM) -- Some say, “cross my heart and hope to die.” Others say, “let’s pinky swear.” Many of the seasoned saints reading this will say a person’s word is all you need.   For newlyweds, the exchanging and wearing of rings and the repeating of … Read More
