Chelette to headline LCU’s first Christ, Church, Culture event of semester

September 23, 2022

By Staff

PINEVILLE, La. – Ricky Chelette, a Louisiana Christian University graduate and founder of Living Hope Ministries, will headline the school’s first Christ Church Culture Lecture Series of the fall semester.

Chelette, who turned from a lifestyle of homosexuality to Christ, and his ministry has spent more than 25 years ago to help others who like him found freedom from the homosexual lifestyle through Jesus, will share more on how to engage the culture with the Gospel during sessions Sept. 26, 6:30 p.m., and Sept. 27, 11 a.m.

“God has used Ricky speaking at LCU on previous occasions, and I have no doubt the same will be the case Sept. 26 and 27,” LCU President Rick Brewer said. “Ricky confronts the challenges of a culture that no longer follows the biblical design for human sexuality. The biblical apologetic needed to respond accordingly is at the heart of Ricky’s ministry.”

A second C3 series will follow Oct. 3, 6:30 p.m., and Oct. 4, 11 a.m., and will feature Mark Turman, executive director of the Denison Forum. Through its website, books, podcasts and more, the Denison Forum engages issues of the day from a biblical perspective.

All sessions of the C3 series are free and will take place inside Guinn Auditorium.
