PINEVILLE, La. (LCU News) – SENDLA, Louisiana Christian University’s semi-annual day of serving the community, will
happen Tuesday, Oct. 6.
It is rooted in Matthew 28, where Jesus commands His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Once each semester, the campus steps outside the classroom and into the community to serve alongside local organizations and ministries.
“SENDLA is all about showing the Gospel in action,” said LCU President Mark Johnson, who began the initiative in the spring. “We have the unique opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus throughout Central Louisiana.”
Following a commissioning chapel service, students, faculty, and staff will spread throughout the parish to minister in practical and relational ways, showing the gospel in action.

– Campus prayer walk (Nursing)
SENDLA takes place every fall and spring semester and is sponsored by the SEND Network and Louisiana Baptists.
