LCU celebrates 2023 Homecoming

PINEVILLE, La. – Louisiana Christian University recently welcomed alumni and guests to campus for its annual Homecoming weekend.

During an awards dinner, Oct. 21, the school honored new Sports Hall of Fame inductees: Jeremy Vujnovich, a 2013 graduate who played parts of seven seasons in the National Football League; Anthony “A.J.” Gaines, an LCU basketball player from 2012 to 2016 who has continued his career as an international player; and Blaine Broussard, a member of the Wildcats basketball team from 2000 to 2004 who now is a pediatrician in Alexandria.

New distinguished alumni also were honored: Blake Cooper (posthumous, class of 2005), Mark Fenn (class of 1986), Larry Perkins (class of 1967) and Jamie Rister (class of 2006).

The following day, LCU hosted a parade, tailgating, and football, soccer, and baseball and softball intrasquad games.
