Cypress Baptist Church, Benton: Easter run, April 4, 7:45-10:45 a.m. We have a great course that is safe and primarily through the shaded neighborhood of Woodlake South which is right behind Cypress Baptist Church. The race will start and finish in the Cypress 316 Fieldhouse. All proceeds from the race will go to support the Spain Missions Team at Cypress. Celebration Church, Metairie: Hop-A-Trunk, April 4, following the 5 p.m. Easter service. Hop-A-Trunk is a free, fun, safe, community-oriented alternative to an Egg Hunt. Volunteers park their vehicles in the church parking lot, decorate their trunks and hand out stuffed Easter eggs, treats or trinkets to the children. Good Friday service will be at 5:30 p.m. while Easter Sunday services are 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Pastor: Dennis Watson.
