Messengers to the 2006 LBC annual meeting can pre-register either online or through the mail this year.
Messengers to the 2006 LBC annual meeting can be pre-registered either online or through the mail.
Online pre-registration can be completed by messengers themselves, church clerks or other officers of the church.
The username and password that enable access to the system is printed
on the letter each church should have received at the end of September,
said Dale Lingenfelter, director of the LBC Business and Information
Services Team.
The letter also indicated the maximum number of messengers the church is allowed, based on its membership.
“We worked diligently to make this as easy and as efficient a process
as possible,” Lingenfelter said. “Everything we do in advance is
done so messengers don’t have to wait in long lines.”
“Our goal has been to create a very efficient registration process,
getting the convention information in messengers’ hands as quickly as
possible,” said Shana Johnson, Information Services Support Supervisor
at the Louisiana Baptist Convention.
To pre-register your church messengers online, access the website at
www.e-lbc.org and log in using the aforementioned username and
password.
On the introduction screen, clicking on “Pre-Register for the
convention HERE!” will take you to page two which displays your
church’s name and 2005 Annual Church Profile (ACP) Total Membership, as
well as the number of messengers allocated to your church.
On this screen, enter your name and email address, which will provide
the LBC with a point of contact should it be necessary to contact
someone at your church. Then, click on NEXT.
Page three gives a list of your church’s current leadership and an opportunity to edit this information.
Page four is the actual pre-registration page. Here, you will see
the church name, number of allowed messengers, and a list that can
display either current or previous leadership for the church.
Put checks in the boxes next to the names of those whom your church has designated as messengers and alternates.
If the messengers your church has selected are not listed, users can add new names by clicking on the appropriate link.
The next page gives an opportunity to print cards for each messenger,
or you may call the LBC and have them print the cards and mail
them to you. Clicking “Done” ends the pre-registration
process.
If necessary, updates and changes can be made as often as necessary until pre-registration closes on Thursday, Nov. 9.
Pre-registration through the mail
Messengers can also pre-register through the U.S. mail. A church
can register its messengers by filling out and sending in the 2006
letter which arrived in late September. Then, LBC will mail cards
to the messengers.
