First Bossier to host Generate Conference in 2025

June 19, 2024

By YM360

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (YM360) – Registration has opened for the Generate Conference at First Baptist Church, Bossier City.

Scheduled for Jan. 24-25, Generate Conference will provide a weekend of dynamic worship and Word-filled weekends where attendees will be challenged to know Christ and make Him known.

YM360, which coordinates the conference, also is the home of Generate Summer Camps which span more than 40 events in 15 states.

In addition to FBCBC, Generate Conferences also are scheduled at:

  • Jan. 31-Feb. 1, Hebron Church, Dacula, Georgia
  • Feb. 7-8, Northland Church, Orlando, Floria
  • Feb. 14-15, Morrison Heights Baptist Church, Jackson, Mississippi
  • Feb. 21-22, Dallas Baptist University, Dallas, Texas
  • Feb. 28-March 1 – Germantown Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee
  • March 7-8, The Church at Brook Hills, Birmingham, Alabama

YM360 President Roger Davis, a leader of nationwide student ministry events since 1993, said this is a perfect alignment with YM360’s mission and heart to serve as many churches as possible and see students have encounters with Jesus.

“We simply want to say yes’ to as many churches as possible as we create event experiences that help all those attending have a chance to encounter Jesus,” Davis said. “That is one of our core values at YM360: We Elevate Christ. Our goal with Generate Conference weekends will be that we continue to see a generation of students that knows Christ and makes Him known. I’m also excited that local churches will be hosting these events – we love the local church and value any chance we have to partner with local churches.”

YM360 co-founder and CEO Les Bradford added that one of the things that makes him most excited about Generate Conferences is the option churches will have to utilize these weekends for their Disciple Now or winter retreat.

“For the last 12 years, through our publishing division, YM360 has supported and partnered with thousands of churches to provide Disciple Now and retreat-themed Bible study solutions for their local church events,” Bradford said. “Now, with Generate Conference we can provide something truly unique with allowing those Disciple Now and retreat weekends to happen in conjunction with our Generate Conference weekend events. I was greatly impacted as a teenager by these kinds of events and I’m thrilled that YM360 will be able to partner with churches in the same way.”

Since 2010, YM360 has equipped tens of thousands of youth pastors with resources in the areas of Bible study curriculum, Disciple Now and retreat resources, discipleship resources, youth pastor coaching and training, parent ministry resources, games, sermon resources, missions resources and more.

The race of faith: a marathon, not a sprint

When I ran cross country, our training involved running Monday through Friday and, occasionally, optional Saturday runs. We did “easy” days, long-distance days, sprint days (the worst), and more, all to make sure that we were in the best shape possible for our 5k race — a little over three miles — which occurred … Read More
