Niche.com released its 2025 list of Best Colleges last week. Niche.com is a rating and review website for facets of the college experience. In the last several years, LCU has committed to providing an increasingly safe campus for students, faculty, staff and visitors. Three Homeland Security grants awarded to LCU have allowed for additional campus lighting and surveillance. “Over the last five years, LCU has invested over $450,000 in safety and security upgrades thanks to grants from the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness through our FEMA partners,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs Henry O. Robertson. “Additional funding through the Union Pacific Railroad Foundation has provided key components for enhancing our abilities to deter, detect and defend the campus community. Louisiana Christian to hold spring revival next week
By Elizabeth Clarke, LCU News PINEVILLE, La. (LCU News) - Louisiana Christian University will hold its annual spring revival series Feb. 18-20 at 11 a.m. in Guinn Auditorium. The speaker for the revival will be Greg Wilton, assistant professor of mission and evangelism and dean of Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Wilton has served the Lord in many ways, from the French Quarter to Southeast Asia, from a small church pastor in Louisiana to a large church missions pastor in Tennessee. He ministered cross-culturally in Southeast Asia with the International Missions Board while also teaching at a local seminary. With the North American Mission Board, Wiltonserved as the National Care For Refugees director, while also directing a ministry center in Clarkston, Georgia for Send Relief. Super Bowl human trafficking outreach reunites 15 missing children in NOLA
NEW ORLEANS, La. (LBM) – Louisiana Baptists, other non-profit organizations, law enforcement agencies and civilians worked together to reunite 15 missing children with their families in the days leading up to last weekend’s Super Bowl LIX in the New Orleans Superdome. The effort involved the training of 70 volunteers at Celebration Church, Kenner and the distribution of 10,000 booklets featuring 36 missing and exploited children identified by law enforcement agencies in the New Orleans area. Each booklet contained a photo and information about each missing and exploited child. These booklets were placed in convenience stores as well as other locations throughout the city. As information was received, it was relayed to a call center at an undisclosed location for security purposes. Additionally, Freedom Stickers (containing the National Human Trafficking Hotline) were provided to convenience stores and strategically placed in public restroom stalls (providing victims of human trafficking with a safe place to call or text for help). LCU to hold Spring Preview Day Feb. 15
By LCU News PINEVILLE, La. (LCU News) - Louisiana Christian University will offer high school students information about what opportunities await them at its annual Spring Preview Day, Feb. 15. All high school students in public, private and home school are encouraged to preregister to attend the event on campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration the day of the event will be at 8:30 a.m. Students and their parents will meet with faculty and current students and learn about academic programs, athletics and extracurricular activities. Attendees also will hear from current students about their experiences in major fields of study and what it is like to be a Wildcat. Interested students should sign up at the Preview Day registration form. Students who attend Preview Day will receive free lunch and LCU merchandise.
