have requested 10 teams consisting of a preacher and “two or three other

November 2 of this year, according to Charles Lowry who is heading up the partnership.
“Each team would conduct two four-night crusades,”
according to Lowry. “Preparation and training of the Korean pastors and
leaders will be done by Korean Home Mission Board leaders.”
Louisiana team members will be oriented and trained by Lowry
and his wife during September.
The volunteers will have adequate translators, Lowry said,
and do not need to know how to speak the Korean language.
The Louisiana team will be joined by Korean church members
for witnessing each day, with evangelistic services held each evening.
The partnership has already provided earlier this year Vacation
Bible School teams who worked with missionaries children while their parents
met for the Korean Southern Baptist missionaries annual meeting.
“The team really worked hard and had just the skills the
MKs (missionary kids) needed,” reported Carolyn Lowry, who headed the team.
“Since most of these children live out in remote locations, they have very
little opportunity for this kind of group Bible study and activities. They loved
it.”
Nine Cenla Vacation bible Schools gave more that $5,000 to
help make the teams trip possible.
The basic cost of the Evangelism Crusade trip is $1,887.
There will be two, five additional nights options – one
to Hong Kong for a total cost of $2,723, and one to Hawaii for $2,478.
